Goals:
The student will be able to understand the technical possibilities of actual robotics systems, and the impact of their implementation, both in industrial and/or service environments.
The student will have hands-on experiences in robot programming, including sensor integration.
The student will be initiated to computer vision and its application to real-world robotized automation.
Content:
1. Introduction: intelligent robots, applications, posibilities, limitations.
2. Robot arms and mobile robots as mechatronics products: mechanics and control.
2. Mathematical description of motion: kinematics and dynamics.
3. Robot control: specific motor contro problems.
4. Fundaments of intelligent robotics:
4.1 Localization
4.2 Motion planning and execution
4.3 Reactive or behaviour-based control
4.4 Robot learning
5. Sensors for robots: physical principles, computer interface and signal processing.
6. Computer vision for robotics.
